5.0/10

My stay at the resort started with a bumpy check-in experience, where I was greeted with an unclean room and a lack of timely assistance. While the golf course looked great, I found the service fell short in terms of hospitality and attentiveness. The potential of the resort is there, but my experience left a lot to be desired, making it difficult for me to recommend it without reservations.

Rooms
5.0
Our room was not properly cleaned upon arrival, which left a negative impression. We noticed items from a previous guest and it wasn't ideal.
Service
5.0
The reception staff seemed unresponsive and not particularly apologetic about our concerns. It felt like a burden to ask for assistance.
Location
6.0
The resort is situated nicely for golfing, but features like the bar and restaurant were less welcoming due to our experiences.
Dining
5.0
We didn't eat at the restaurant, but the dining options felt limited, especially with many facilities closed. We had a disappointing experience overall.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities available could have been great, but service issues overshadowed the experience. The pool area was comforting after a long day.

We had an amazing time at the hotel, especially for our hen do! Great value for money with a fantastic spa package that offered everything from relaxation to delicious meals. The rooms were luxurious and spacious, and the spa facilities were top-notch. However, there were a couple of minor issues with cleanliness and maintenance that could be improved upon.

Rooms

The rooms were spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony offering beautiful views. We felt really pampered, especially with the suite upgrade.

St Mellion has its pros and cons. I truly enjoyed the challenging Nicklaus course, which was in excellent condition. However, the overall resort experience fell short with mediocre service and facilities that need updating. The rooms were comfortable, but the service left a lot to be desired.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were basic but clean, with nice views from the balconies. However, they felt tired and in need of some renovation.
Service
5.0
Service was inconsistent; while some staff were helpful, many seemed disengaged and made several mistakes during our dining experience.
Location
8.0
The location is great for golfers as it's close to the course, but for non-golfers, it might feel a bit isolated.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a big letdown. The food quality was more akin to a pub rather than a four-star resort, and service was slow and amateurish.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were underwhelming; the gym felt outdated, and the spa didn't live up to luxury expectations.

My stay at St Mellion International Resort was quite enjoyable overall, thanks to the excellent spa services and a lovely room with picturesque views. However, the dining experience was inconsistent and the internet connection was frustratingly poor. Still, the comfort of the room and the quality of the spa treatments stood out as highlights of my trip.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and featured a very comfortable bed, along with beautiful views of the golf course. It was a bit lacking in storage with only one drawer, and a fridge would have been a welcome addition.
Service
7.0
Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, although there was some miscommunication regarding my milk request for breakfast which led to disappointment.
Location
Dining
5.0
The dinner I had was enjoyable, though the breakfast was a mixed bag with one day being excellent and the second day quite disappointing.
Facilities
6.0
The spa facilities were excellent, contributing greatly to my overall enjoyment. However, the Wi-Fi was utterly disappointing, significantly impacting my stay.
